TaskFrost
Privacy Policy · Effective September 29, 2026
The short version
The TaskFrost app doesn't collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your tasks stay on your device.
The only thing ever kept about you is optional: your email address, if you sign up for news on this website or email for support.
What TaskFrost stores, and where
The tasks you write, along with their notes, subtasks, reminders, repeat settings and lists, and your app settings, are saved only on your iPhone. The TaskFrost widget reads the same data on the same device so it can show your tasks. None of it is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, that backup includes TaskFrost's data, as it does for other apps. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.
Reminders
If you ask TaskFrost to remind you about a task, it schedules a notification on your device. It doesn't use a server, and the notification's contents stay on your iPhone.
Siri and Shortcuts
You can add, complete and list tasks with Siri or the Shortcuts app. Apple processes those requests under its own privacy policy. TaskFrost only receives the result, such as the text of a task to add, and keeps it on your device like any other task.
What TaskFrost doesn't do
- It doesn't ask for your name, email or any account.
- It doesn't include analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it doesn't share or sell data.
- It doesn't connect to the internet.
Apple may give the developer anonymous, combined statistics such as download numbers and crash reports, if you've chosen to share them with app developers in your iPhone's settings. These can't identify you.
News emails (optional)
If you sign up on the news page, your email address is stored with Netlify, the service that hosts this website, and used only to tell you when a new app from TaskFrost's maker launches. It's never sold or shared. To be removed, reply "unsubscribe" to any of those emails or write to the address below.
Emailing for support
If you email, including with "Send feedback" in the app's Settings, your message and email address are used only to reply to you. The feedback email is filled in with your app version, iOS version and iPhone model, so problems are easier to fix; you can delete those lines before sending.
Deleting your data
Smash or melt a task and it's gone. Deleting TaskFrost from your iPhone deletes all of its data.
Children
TaskFrost doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If TaskFrost ever starts collecting more data, this policy will be updated before that happens, and the date at the top will change.
